ABS EH36 shipbuilding steel is a high-strength structural grade primarily made of iron, with carefully controlled amounts of carbon (≤0.18%), manganese (0.90–1.60%), phosphorus (≤0.035%), sulfur (≤0.035%), and silicon (0.10–0.50%). It may also contain micro-alloying elements like nickel, chromium, and copper to boost strength. This grade boasts a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and tensile strength between 490 and 620 MPa.
