400 BHN (Brinell Hardness Number) Sheets and Plates are crafted from alloy steel specifically designed for wear resistance. Their typical composition features carbon (0.20–0.30%), manganese (1.0–1.6%), chromium (0.8–1.5%), along with trace amounts of nickel, molybdenum, or boron. These plates reach a surface hardness of around 400 HBW, offering outstanding abrasion resistance while still ensuring sufficient toughness. Their mechanical properties include tensile strength of up to 1250 MPa and solid impact resistance.
