253MA (UNS S30815) is an austenitic stainless steel alloy that boasts a well-balanced chemical makeup, featuring high levels of chromium (20–22%), nickel (10–12%), and silicon (1.4–2.0%). It also includes small amounts of nitrogen and rare earth metals to boost its high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance. In terms of mechanical properties, it has a tensile strength ranging from 600 to 750 MPa, a yield strength of about 310 MPa, and impressive creep resistance at temperatures reaching up to 1150°C. Despite its robust nature, 253MA is still easy to weld and form, making it a great choice for complex fabrication in thermal settings.
